Relationships and Sex Education Resources

Teachers from Gloucestershire primary schools have attended training in the use of the new Facts4life Relationships and Sex Education materials.

The central themes of the Facts4Life approach to RSE are healthy relationships, safeguarding and the range of normality. They include a focus on health and hygiene and take into account the physical developments and possible emotional responses that a child will be experiencing as they progress through primary school, from Reception to Year 6.
The launch comes in the wake of Education Secretary, Justine Greening’s stated intention to require all primary schools in England to teach age-appropriate ‘relationships education’ with effect from September 2019.

Teachers attending the training commented:
“Interesting, eye opening and made me think!”
“Excellent course. Thank you very much.”
“Very well put together with professionals who are in the know.”
“Good ideas, thought provoking. Good resources!”

The RSE materials are available FREE to all Gloucestershire schools following Facts4Life training. Further training dates for the Summer Term will shortly be announced on our website. Training for schools on INSET Days and in twilight sessions is also available on request – contact sue@facts4life.org
