We are announcing a free online course for Early Years Key Workers in Gloucestershire to help children to develop health resilience in these challenging times. This invitation is extended to 1-2* key workers from your setting. Please book early as numbers will be limited to ensure participants have every opportunity to interact during the training session.
(*These online sessions are open to multiple settings. You may prefer to send members of your staff to undertake the training and then cascade the learning back to colleagues. Alternatively, we are able to offer whole staff in-house online training sessions catered more specifically to your needs – see below.)
Those participating in the training will receive:
- an introduction to the Facts4Life approach to health resilience
- a free copy of our Early Years Pack full of ideas for use with children – click on the image below to view a sample
- a free copy of our children’s book ‘This is Fin and Bear’ for use with Early Years – click on the image below for further details
- access to free online materials on health resilience and mental health
- free follow up support to introduce Facts4Life in your setting
What is Facts4Life?
Facts4Life is a health resilience programme for early years, primary and secondary settings (including parents) that provides opportunities to learn more about physical and mental health.
Our Facts4Life Early Years Pack includes a collection of activity cards that can be used in a ‘pick up and go’ style by key workers in settings. These cards cover a range of themes that link closely with the Early Learning Goals and complement the new changes to the Ofsted framework. The pack also includes a copy of our picture book ‘This is Fin and Bear’, a double-sided activity poster and a collection of children’s songs.
Comments from previously trained Gloucestershire Early Years Settings:
“Excellent pack and well explained. The materials have good ideas on how to talk to children about feelings and how to deliver this through play.”
“I really enjoyed the course, thank you! I love the activities – looking forward to trying out with our children and seeing how they enjoy getting involved with this.”
Interested in in-house training?
As an alternative to training with colleagues from other settings, we also offer free in-house training online where we are able to train a wider group of your staff together. Please let us know if this would be of interest to you.
To book your place on one of these courses, or to arrange in-house training, please contact email@example.com.
