Online Facts4Life Primary ‘Core Resources’ Training for Schools in Wales

 

Dates:       Wednesday 18th November 2020
Times:      13:00-14:30 or 15:30-17:00 (choose your session) 
Trainers:   John Davis (Director, Facts4Life) and Steve Rees (Former Headteacher, Evenlode Primary, Penarth)
Costs:       £180 includes training and access to all Facts4Life resources for a 2 year period. £50 for second participant from same school.

Facts4Life works with schools in England and Wales, providing a rich range of resources to help children develop resilience and manage their mental and physical health. We are announcing an online course in Term 2 for Primary teachers. This invitation is extended to 1-2 teachers from your school. Please book early as numbers will be limited to ensure participants have every opportunity to interact during the training session.


The course will help you to:

  • address with confidence health-related themes as part of the curriculum
  • continue to support children returning to school
  • fully implement the Health and Wellbeing Area of Learning and Experience


Those participating will receive: 

  • an introduction to the Facts4Lifeapproach to health resilience and mental health
  • a free copy of our teacher’s book full of ideas for the classroom
  • free copy of our children’s book ‘This is Fin and Bear’ for use with Early Years and Key Stage 1
  • access to a vast range of online materials on health resilience and mental health for use in the classroom
  • follow up support to introduce Facts4Life in your school

  • complements key elements of the PSHE Curriculum
  • helps to create a climate for physical and mental health to be addressed
  • facilitates openness about safeguarding by promoting coping strategies to manage risk
  • promotes good attendance

  • supports schools in the Estyn judgement on Care, Support and Guidance
