The face to face course will provide more time for a full introduction to our Mental Health Resources as well as the key ideas that underpin our materials.

The course will help you to:

  • address with confidence health-related themes as part of the curriculum
  • develop a language to talk about mental health with children
  • build confidence in incorporating the simple messages of brain science into the classroom to regulate emotions
  • fully utilise the Facts4Life Mental Health and Return to School materials
  • meet new statutory guidance on Health Education to be implemented in all schools by 2021/22

Those participating will receive:

  • an introduction to the Facts4Life approach to health resilience and mental health
  • free copies of our teacher’s book for you and colleagues full of ideas for the classroom (click on the image below to view a sample)
  • a free copy of our children’s book ‘This is Fin and Bear’ for use with Early Years and Key Stage 1 (click on the image below for further information)
  • access to free online materials on health resilience and mental health for use in the classroom
  • free follow up support to introduce Facts4Life in your school

Comments from F4L training participants 2020/21:

“It’s an inspiring resource. It fits with a lot of the current thinking in schools to support pupils to emotionally regulate. It reminds colleagues that one size, strategy or response, doesn’t fit all.”

“I now feel more confident to deliver a mental health session to Key Stage 1 children.”

“I feel fully equipped to use the Facts4Life resource at school in a strategic way – (cascading training to staff members) with pupils and families/parents, to enhance the understanding of and managing of mental health.”
