Facts4Life is delighted to announce further developments in its work helping children and families to take ownership of their health. We are very pleased to have the generous financial backing and support of Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group for the next 3 years. This funding means we are able to continue to expand our work with schools in the county, enabling children to explore illness and build well-being.

We will be revising our material for Key Stage 2 children (7-11 year olds) and creating new materials to introduce Facts4Life to Key Stage 1 children (4-7 year olds). This will include a greater focus on mental as well as physical health as well as aspects of sex and relationships education across both phases. Training will be offered to all Gloucestershire primary schools in the New Year. We will also be planning our work with secondary schools to be rolled out in the next academic year.

We are really looking forward to working with more schools in the county and building partnerships with local GPs so that young people and their families become more confident in managing their health and riding the ups and downs of life.
